Andres (1997) did his bachelor’s at “Pontificia Universidad Javeriana” in electronics engineering with an emphasis in Communication Systems. He obtained the M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on plasmonic photodetectors. In March 2022 he started to work as a research fellow at the Photonic Devices Group of Politecnico di Milano. His work is mainly focused on plasmonic detectors and programmable PICs for free space optics applications. He is currently working on EU project NEBULA and a project collaboration between Politecnico and Huawei.
