Congratulations to our new Ph.D. graduate

Today, we celebrate the successful PhD defense of Francesca Grossi.

Her thesis, entitled “CMOS compatible Anti-Reflective coating (ARC) and Anti-Reflective Microstructures (ARM) for optical components for MIR and LWIR,” represents a significant step toward the integration of CMOS-compatible anti-reflective layers, microlenses, and metalenses in the mid-infrared (MIR)
and long-wave infrared (LWIR) regions.

We would like to sincerely thank the PhD Committee —
Prof. Gian Guido Gentili, Politecnico di Milano
Prof. Rita Asquini, Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”
Prof. Gaetano Bellanca, Università degli Studi di Ferrara —
for evaluating the work and formally conferring the PhD degree.

We sincerely thank Prof. Francesco Morichetti and Prof. Andrea Melloni for their guidance and continuous support throughout this journey.

Francesca will continue her journey in ST Microelectronics.

Congratulations, Dr. Grossi.
