Francesca Grossi, PhD student in our group, led this activity in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, combining academic research and industrial expertise.
We integrated tiny silicon microlenses directly on the sensor, together with an anti-reflective coating, enabling a field-of-view reduction of about 30% while preserving sensitivity through optical intensity enhancement.
