Professor Francesco Morichetti, our PhD candidate Lorenzo Zerboni and our fellow researcher Eleonora Gubello, attended the Italian Conference on Optics and Photonics to present our two contributions:
- 3D Printed Microlenses on Silicon Photonics Edge Couplers and Grating Couplers
- This contribution explored new approaches to improve photonic devices optical coupling and was recognized with the Best Student Paper award.
- Data-driven Machine Learning Modelling of Outdoor FSO Links
- Free-space optical communications, atmospheric measurements, and machine learning combined to model turbulence effects in real-world scenarios.
